Preparation steps

1.

Sift the flour into a bowl and make a well in the middle. Dissolve the yeast and the sugar in a little of the warm oat milk. Pour the yeast mixture into the well and mix with a little flour from the edge. Cover and leave to rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes. Then add the remaining oat milk, margarine and salt and knead into a smooth, pliable dough. Cover and rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

2.

Knead the dough again and then roll out into a rectangle about 1.5 cm (about 5/8 inch) thick. Brush the dough with a little warm water and sprinkle with 2-3 tablespoons of the rolled oats and the flaxseed. Then roll up tightly from the longer side of the rectangle and cut into 10 equal-sized rolls. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover and let rise again for 30 minutes.

3.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 390°F).

4.

Lightly brush each roll with water and sprinkle with the remaining rolled oats. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack then serve.
