1 onion
1 tsp butter
50 grams Whole spelt seeds
500 milliliters Vegetable broth
150 grams Frozen pea
2 carrots
2 Tbsps whole-grain Oats
2 Tbsps rolled Oats
2 Tbsps Sunflower seed
peppers
salt
Fresh herbs (to taste)
Peanut oil (to fry)

Preparation steps

Peel the onion and chop finely. Heat the butter in a saucepan and saute the onion in it. Add the spelt seeds and fry briefly. Pour in the vegetable broth and let boil for 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from heat and let soak for 10 minutes. Cooking liquid drain and cool the meal.

Cook the peas according to package directions until al dente. Drain the peas, rinse with cold water and leave to cool.

In the meantime, peel the carrots and finely grate. Mix the spelt seeds mixture with peas, grated carrots, oats and sunflower seeds. Knead to form a dough and season well with salt and pepper.

Rinse the herbs, shake dry, finely chop and mix with the dough. Form small patties from the dough.

Heat peanut oil in a pan and fry the patties in it on both sides. Serve the patties with a mixed salad.
