4 Tbsps honey
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
0.333 cup warmed, gold Rum (optional)

Preparation steps

Prepare the grill for direct grilling and preheat to high heat.

Cut the pineapple in half lengthwise, remove the hard core and cut each half into 4 wedges, for a total of 8 wedges.

Melt the butter and stir in the honey, lemon juice and spices. Grill the pineapple, brushing each wedge with the butter mixture. Turn frequently, grill until evenly browned, about 4 minutes on each side. Do not overcook and watch carefully, as the natural sugars in fresh pineapple caramelizes quickly.
4.
Remove the pineapple from the grill, and place in a shallow dish. Pour the warmed rum over the pineapple skewers. Flambe and serve.
