- 4 trout (ready to cook, serving size)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 large, organic lemon
- 40 grams Mayonnaise
- 8 sprigs thyme
- 8 sprigs oregano
- 4 sprigs rosemary
- Apple wood chip
Preparation steps

Rinse the trout and pat dry. Peel garlic and chop finely. Cut lemon into thick slices about 0.5 cm (approximately 1/4 inch). Spread fish with mayonnaise. Place garlic, lemon slices and herbs in the abdominal cavities. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 4 hours.

Preheat the grill. Place soaked apple wood chips in a foil bag or folded aluminum foil, seal well and pierce foil several times. Place on the grill and close the lid until smoke forms.

Place trout on the grill and cook until golden brown, 5-6 minutes. Turn over and grill on the second side until done.

Depending on the size, the cooking time may vary slightly.

If desired, serve drizzled with a little herb oil.
