- 2 kilograms gherkins (roughly equal sizes)
- 30 grams salt
- 2 tsps white peppercorns
- 4 cloves
- 4 garlic cloves
- ¾ l Wine vinegar
- ¾ l water
- 100 grams sugar
- 1 bunch fresh Dill
Preparation steps

Rinse the gherkins well and prick them several times with a needle. Place in a bowl, shower with salt and pour in enough water so that the gherkins are covered. Infuse for 24 hours.
Drain, rinse, pat dry and layer the gherkins in jars.
Rinse the dill and shake dry.

Add the dill and the spices to the jars.
Peel the garlic, cut lengthwise into slices and also distribute over the gherkins.
Boil the vinegar with the water and sugar and pour over the gherkins while hot. Seal the jars and store in a cool and dry place.
Leave to marinate for 4 -6 weeks before serving.
