Pasta Shells with Salmon Caviar

Nutritional values
The sulfides (sulfur compounds) in the leek act as a gentle natural antibiotic and helps to lower both elevated blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Caviar contains iodine, while the noodles provide fiber and energy.
You can always substitute the leek for spring onions, which contain even more of the beneficial sulphur substances and bring a slight pungency to this dish.

Preparation steps
Rinse leeks and cut lengthwise into quarters. Cut light and dark parts of leeks diagonally into small pieces.
Heat oil and butter in a pot. Add leeks, lightly salt and cook over low heat 2 minutes. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.
Peel garlic and squeeze through a garlic press into the leeks. Season with anisette or aniseed.
Pour in broth and soy creamer and let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes at medium heat. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package directions in boiling salted water until al dente.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper, stir in half of the caviar and reserve the rest for garnishing. Strain the pasta, drain and serve with the sauce.
