The roughage in the wholemeal rusk will keep your baby full for a long time and help his digestion. Pears provide plenty of potassium for good muscle function.
Very ripe, soft pears can also be used raw. But then it is best to peel them and crush them briefly with a hand blender together with rusk crumbs and some juice. Add some more juice if you want the paste to be more liquid.

- 1 Pear (about 200 grams)
- 4 Tbsps Apple juice
- 2 whole wheat crackers (each about 10 grams)
- 1 tsp Canola oil

Preparation steps
Rinse pear, wipe dry and cut in half. Remove the seeds and cut the flesh into small pieces.
Combine pear and apple juice in a small pot and bring to a boil. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Place crackers in a freezer bag and crush to coarse crumbs with a rolling pin.
Add crumbs to the cooked pear mixture and stir with a fork to combine. Add additional apple juice if needed. Let cool slightly before serving.
