Preparation steps

1.

Peel the potato and thinly slice. Peel the eggs and cut into small cubes. Peel the onion and finely dice. Finely dice the dill pickles. Thinly slice the sausage.

In a bowl, stir the mayonnaise with the lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir the potato, onion, pickles, eggs and sausage into the mayonnaise mixture. Rinse the lettuce leaves and pat dry. Toast the bread.

3.

Place 2 slices of toast on a work surface. Top each with a lettuce leaf and the potato salad. Top with another slice of toast to complete the sandwich. Cut in half on a diagonal and serve.
