300 milliliters milk
2 heaping tsps cocoa powder
2 tsps sugar
1 generous pinch cinnamon
½ Vanilla bean

Preparation steps

Mix the cocoa powder with the cinnamon, sugar, and 3-4 tablespoons of the milk. Place the remaining milk in a saucepan. Slit the vanilla bean, scrape out the seeds, then add the bean and the seeds to the milk. Slowly heat the vanilla and milk mixture.

Turn off the heat, and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the vanilla bean, and any skin that has formed on the milk. Stir the cocoa powder mixture into the milk, and stir until combined. Pour the hot chocolate into cups and serve immediately.
