600 grams potatoes
2 Russet apples
1 lemon (juice)
2 Tbsps butter
350 grams Whipped cream
salt
freshly ground peppers
Nutmeg
½ tsp Curry powder
butter (for the pan)
2 Tbsps small Bread

Preparation steps

1.

Quarter the apples, remove the seeds and cut into thin slices. Immediately sprinkle the apple slices with lemon juice.

Thinly slice the potatoes with a vegetable slicer.

Grease a baking dish with butter. Alternately layer the potatoes and apples in the baking dish.

Season the cream with salt, pepper, nutmeg and curry powder. Pour the cream over the casserole. Bake for 45-50 minutes at 160°C (approximately 325°F).

5.

Chop the butter into small pieces. Sprinkle the flakes on the casserole. Sprinkle with the croutons. Bake for another 5 minutes, until golden brown. Serve immediately.
