Preparation steps

Rinse bell pepper, trim, cut in half, remove seeds, remove ribs and cut into strips. Blanch tomatoes in boiling water for a few seconds, rinse in cold water, peel, quarter, core and cut into small cubes. Drain the tuna and pick apart with a fork. Heat oil in a pan. Peel garlic and squeeze through a press into the oil. Stir in tomato cubes and cook on low heat for 3 minutes. Add tuna and heat through. Season the tuna with salt and pepper.

Slice baguettes in half horizontally. Spread the bottom halves with the tomato and tuna filling and top with the pepper strips. Sprinkle with basil and place the other baguette halves on top. Serve immediately.
