2 Tbsps Tomato paste
800 grams peeled Tomatoes (canned)
salt
freshly ground peppers
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
Red pepper flakes
Basil (for garnish)

Preparation steps

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic and sauté together in some olive oil. Add the tomato paste and the canned tomatos, mix well and chop up with a spoon. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the herbs and red pepper flakes and simmer for another 5-10 minutes until the desired consistency is reached.

Season the sauce again and serve garnished with basil.
