Preparation steps

1.

Peel the onions and cut into wedges. Heat the walnut oil and sauté the onions. Season with salt and pepper. Add the elderberry syrup and balsamic vinegar and swirl the onions in it. Let the liquid boil down.

2.

Cut the lettuce into strips. Rinse and shake dry. Crumble the macaroons.

Arrange the onions on plates with the lettuce and serve showered with macaroons.
