Preparation steps

Peel the asparagus and trim so that all the bars have the same length. Cook in boiling salted water with the sugar and the butter for about 10 minutes. Lift the asparagus from the cooking water, drain, and place in portions next to each other on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
